Gender: Male
Source: The Cat Piano
Canon point: Post-canon, after completing the poem.
Age: 4 human years (about 35)

Chumhandle: innominateRhapsodist

History:  I highly recommend just watching the short, its' only 8 minutes long.

White was born and grew up in the cat city by the ocean where he still lives when the events of the Cat Piano take place. He's always spent most of his time in the bars and poetry cafes and music halls, and feels most at home wandering the streets and listening to the music of his fellow felines, so he just never left. He got himself a flat once he was old enough to leave his family, set up a typewriter, and began life as a starving artist in earnest.

At some point he fell in love with a singer in one of the clubs he frequented, a beautiful white cat with a voice unlike any other. He watched her from afar, and never made a move.

Meanwhile, singers and strays were going missing left and right. The police found that the footprints from the abductions were all from human shoes. White started his own investigation, worried for the city he called home and the singers who lived there, while around him the city plunged into anarchy and violent chaos. He discovered plans for an instrument called the cat piano: a machine into which cats were put in cages, arranged on a musical scale, and when the keys were pressed a needle would drive into their tails, producing a pitched yowl. Disgusted and terrified for the cat he loved, he ran to warn her, knowing her beautiful voice would be used, but he was too late.

After a night of vomiting and depression and nightmares, he couldn't take it anymore and gathered his artist and poets and singers together to storm the lighthouse where the human Organ Grinder lived. They rowed across the water in boats and stormed the lighthouse, throwing the human from it to his death and freeing the cats imprisoned in the piano. They set the lighthouse on fire and sailed back to the city, which slowly began its recover. White and the lady cat got together and are shown to be living together by the point I'll be taking him from.

Personality: White is a poet. He thinks in verse and has an eye and ear for good art, especially considering he grew up in a city permeated with it. He's a lover first and everything else second, but as proven by his organization of a gang of cats to take on a much more powerful human, he can also be a fighter when he needs to. He's lived in the underbelly of the city as well as it's bright upper streets and he's no stranger to catfights and danger and death.

White is highly analytical. He can put clues together fairly well, as shown by his ability to figure out what was happening to the missing singers, and he's good at planning and executing those plans even if he may need more physically strong help to do it.

He has a sense of humor, even if it's a somewhat wry one, and he enjoys sound and company even if he himself may not be the center of attention. His opinion on humans isn't too stellar but from all indications he's only ever interacted with the one, so this may change in Jarjammed. He also drinks and smokes, the former more than the latter.

Abilities & physical limitations: White has no supernatural powers, and in terms of physical strength... well. He's a skinny writer who tends to slouch and runs like a limp noodle. He's good at the planning but not so much at the fighting, and the fact that he's the size of an actual cat in relations to a human (and in relation to the imps, by extension) isn't going to do him any favors. The upshot is that he has claws and fangs like any cat, and always lands on his feet.

Appearance: White is... he's a cat. A slightly-scruffy, skinny, short-haired, long-tailed cat who walks on his hind legs and is blessed with thumbs and a hipster's fashion sense, but a cat nonetheless. Due to how The Cat Piano was colored (with everything all being the same color for mood lightning purposes), it's impossible to guess his coat color, so I'm just going to say blue as it was for the majority of the film because it amuses me most.

Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable: N/A

Strife Specibus: Clawkind, Lanternkind
Prototyping: A poster of Le Chat Blanc (results in imps with bright green eyes and cat ears).
Title: Captain of Voice

In-game abilities: A Captain is a role that can be said to 'command through x' or 'command x'. White can use his abilities, provided he's within vocal range of an enemy or other person, to give them orders they must obey. This won't work if they can't hear him, and if they mishear him things could get pretty pear-shaped. The higher level he gets, the further his voice can project, making this less of an issue. It's also a one-time deal: telling someone to drop their weapon would work, telling someone to from that moment onward always speak in verse would not (so no long-term control is possible).

Planet: Land of Glow and Cobblestones. LOGAC is a winding, endless city, much like the one White used to call home, except instead of blue and cold, it's all warm colors: bright golden streetlamps, red lanterns hanging across every intersection, bright murals on every building. It's peopled by loud, exciteable canaries who value artistic ability of all kinds above anything else and usually communicate in song. The rivers and fountains all run with red wine and it's impossible to walk a hundred feet without running into a mural with still-wet paint. The denizen, the Thunderbird, hates all the merrymaking and will often call up storms to ruin the murals, as well as thunder to drown out the singing and lightning to strike down anything he finds particularly offensive.

RP Sample: Here on an old test drive meme! His name is different because I was still playing around with it back then.
